Krina Patel
I drove up to Jersey City on a sunny day to shoot with Krina. She prepared three outfits that we divided up per outing, taking breaks from walking in the summer sun. We did a tour around the neighborhood, checked out the skyline, and had a great time talking about art and music, and learning more about Krina’s launch of her own psychology practice, Patel In Progress.
Krina’s portraits shown here are all made on my Nikon F3 with Kodak Porta 800. I typically overexpose 1 stop since C41 film is really forgiving in the highlights. That extra stop gives the photos a bit more light meaning a bit more contrast, a bit more color, and a bit more of that wow-factor. You can’t stop me from shooting an 800 ISO film in broad daylight!
